At the core of Elevance is sustainability. We are leading the transformation from fossil-based chemicals to bio-based chemicals beginning with plant oils from renewable feedstocks and a propriety process that is feedstock flexible – enabling the use of locally sourced natural oils, such as canola, soybean and palm.
We produce novel molecules that deliver differentiated performance through a low-pressure and low-temperature process that uses a highly efficient, selective metathesis catalyst to break down complex natural oils and recombine substituents, helping to lower source pollution, energy consumption, production costs and capital expenditures.
Through continuous innovation we strive to develop chemicals that are not only bio-based, but also deliver other environmental benefits including biodegradability and low or no VOC emissions.
Elevance products are made from a variety of natural oil feedstocks, including palm oil. In 2013, Elevance joined the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), an organization that promotes the growth and use of sustainable palm oil products through credible global standards and engagement of stakeholders. As of March 2016, the Wilmar Gresik facility, including our joint venture processing equipment, was found to be in compliance with RSPO Supply Chain Certification Systems.
We are committed to using resources efficiently, increasing value for our customers, investors and other stakeholders and the communities in which we operate. We work to be responsible to others and the environment by understanding our impact and continually improving upon what we do.
